Mark your calendars for this surely marvelous end of April eve! Sean Flynn, Nelson Walker, and Brooks Steele playing as the Knobturnal Trancemissions for an evening of soundscapes!
“Sean Flynn began his musical journey playing drums and singing pop songs in grade school. He later transferred those rhythms to the acoustic guitar and tried his hand at penning his own tunes. With some success of his acoustic trio, Flynn & Co. , he was able to stretch his legs a bit musically after purchasing an electric guitar and adding a drummer to the band. Flynn & The Electric Co. ha become a Longmont favorite with energetic, raucous performances. And, once again, Sean has decided to venture into new musical territory: pairing the electric guitar with an effects processor for some ethereal improvisation. He will be joined by Nelson Walker (see below) on cello and Electric Co. bandmate Brooks Steele, also on electric guitar and effects. The first set will be called “Knobturnal Trancemissions“, with each member of the trio creating layers of uncharted sonic landscape. The second set will feature the trio on their acoustic instruments for a more folk-like, campfire performance.”
“Nelson is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Longmont, Colorado currently studying cello performance under Dr. Charles Lee. He plays with the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, and served as principal cellist for the Greater Boulder Youth Orchestra for their 2016-2017 season. Outside of classical music, Nelson can be found performing as a musical improviser with Playback Theatre West, and as a freelancer around the Denver-Boulder area musicians.”
A fantastic musician and band member of Flynn & The Electric Co.! He is a badass…
