A longtime member and supporter of the thriving Longmont arts community, we are delighted to host Paula’s first show at Still Cellars. “Play is an essential and often overlooked part of a balanced life,” says Paula. After a career in landscape architecture where she specialized in outdoor recreational spaces, she re-purposed her life around art. Exploring various mediums and styles is an exciting journey for Paula and fulfills her need for creative play. Inspired by abstract realism she works to devote attention to the chosen subject while leaving other areas of the composition more suggestive.
After retiring as a public school teacher of 30 years, decided she wanted to devote her time to a long simmering passion… working with clay. She delights in the beauty and diversity of the human face, and the intrigue and challenge of the creative journey, and this comes across in her work.
